Goals

The goal of this platform is to show a real application developed with SoCLib.

Description of the hardware platform

The demo platform uses

• A Mips32 processor and its cache, running the embedded software
• A Ram component, containing the code and live variables
• A TTY controller, displaying messages
• A Block-device, emulating access to a real mass-storage peripheral
• A Framebuffer controller
• A VCI interconnect, connecting the above components altogether

Compiling the embedded software and the simulator

The Makefile contains all the necessary rules to compile:

• The embedded software contained in soft/ against MutekH, distributed in /opt/mutekh. Resulting binaries may be found in the mutekh subdirectory.
• The simulator made of soclib components. (h264_platform.x)

Running the simulator

Running the command ./h264_platform.x will launch the simulator. The following windows will appear:

• a TTY, printing evolution of the decoding and statistics;
• a framebuffer, showing the decoded image.
